I Didn't Want "Goodbye" to Be the End of the Story.
Hi, I'm Dr. Jeevan, a New Jersey-based physical therapist specializing in helping people living with Parkinson's disease. I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University and am PWR! Moves Certified, LSVT BIG Certified, and a former Rock Steady Boxing coach.
Working with people with Parkinson's has become much more than my specialty. It's my passion!
Throughout my years in a hospital based outpatient setting, I noticed the same conversation happening over and over again.
As my patients were getting discharged from physical therapy, they would ask:
"What's next?"
They were moving better. They were stronger. They were more confident.
But they still had goals.
They wanted to travel.
Play with their grandchildren.
Go hiking.
Stay active in their communities.
Continue improving.
Unfortunately, traditional physical therapy often ends because insurance benefits run out, not because someone has reached every goal that's important to them.
Watching motivated people lose their support system, struggle to stay consistent with exercise, and gradually decline was incredibly difficult.
I knew there had to be a better way.
That's why I created Move With Intent Wellness & Rehab.
My goal is to bridge the gap between traditional physical therapy and lifelong wellness by providing continued guidance, accountability, and Parkinson's-specific exercise coaching.
No two people experience Parkinson's the same way.
That's why I don't believe in cookie-cutter exercise programs.
I want to understand your goals.
Your hobbies.
Your routines.
Your challenges.
Whether your goal is hiking with your family, keeping up with your grandchildren, traveling with confidence, or simply feeling more steady walking through the grocery store, I’lll create a program designed around the life you want to live.
When you work with me, you can expect someone who is encouraging, supportive, and genuinely invested in your success, but I'll also challenge you when it's time to grow. My clients often describe me as energetic, positive, and passionate about helping them become the best version of themselves.
If you're looking for someone who truly loves working with people with Parkinson's, you've found the right place.
I'd love the opportunity to help you continue moving toward the life you want to live.
